BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The ‘Mini-Music Production’ (MMP) program will offer participants access to a Macbook laptop--with GarageBand, iMovie and iDVD already installed and ready to go!--and a three (3) day academy where you will learn how to integrate these audio and video creation/editing tools in your music curriculum.
With these 3 software tools, you will learn how to build a song layer by layer, capture student music performances and enhance them digitally. Once modified, the audio/video project can be published to the Web, CD, or DVD for you and your students to enjoy.
MMP Program participants will:

What are the incentives for participation in the program?
After attending and participating in all three (3) days of the academy, MMP participants will receive:
- A Macbook laptop--with GarageBand, iMovie and iDVD already installed
- A stipend

|
Applicants can register for the program by completing ‘Mini-Music Production’ Registration Survey. (closed -- 06/18 ). All applicants must be elementary music teachers.

June 21 – June 25

‘Mini-Music Production’ participant approval process
|
The Office of Instructional Technology will contact participants by phone and by email on Friday, June 25. Participants must confirm that they will participate in the program by June 25th or their slot may be given to another participant on the waiting list.

June 25 - July 26

Register for 'Mini-Music Production' Academy in ePath |
Approved participants must register for the academy via ePath (http://itls.saisd.net/epath).

July 26 – July 28

‘Mini-Music Production’ Academy
|
Each participant must attend the academy in order to receive his or her Mac laptop. They must also complete and turn in their ‘Mini-Music Production’ commitment letter and attend all and participate in a three (3) days of the academy in order to receive their stipend.
